Dispensing

prescriptionspurple Our Practice is a dispensing practice but regulations prevent us from dispensing to you if you live in a built-up area or within one mile of a pharmacy. In effect this means that only those patients living in villages (except Beeston and some areas of Langford) may use our Dispensary.

The Dispensary is open from 8.30am - 12.15pm and 2.30 - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

LIMITED SERVICE DURING DECEMBER.

Our Dispensary opening hours will be restricted on Thursdays and Fridays through December due to staff shortages. It will be open 4.15 pm - 6 pm. The rest of the week is as normal. Please allow 4 working days for repeat prescription requests to be actioned during this time.

Repeat Prescriptions

All prescriptions are produced and printed on the Practice's computer system. Details of repeat prescriptions are printed on a slip of paper attached to the prescription. Repeat prescriptions are initiated at a Doctor consultation at which time it will be established that the medication suits the individual and it needs to be continued for an extended period of time. A time limit will also be set beyond which no further prescriptions will be issued without a further Doctor consultation. You will then be asked to make an appointment to see the Doctor to review the medication before further repeat prescriptions will be issued.

We are in the process of setting up a new on-line prescription service - anyone wishing to request prescriptions on-line must contact Reception to request a user log-in and password. This includes patients who are currently registered to use the old system - this system is no longer in use as we are unable to run the new and old systems at the same time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during the change over period and hope that you'll find the new system simple to use. You will also be able to book and cancel appointments with your new log-in details.

Requesting Repeat Prescriptions

Please allow 4 working days between requesting and collecting the prescription.

You can request your medication at any time by;

post, or deliver your slip to the surgery

or use our Online Repeat Prescription Service via this website.

Requests by email or online via the website received after 5.00pm Monday to Friday will be processed the next working day. Please note we are closed on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Requests made over the weekend will be processed Monday, or the next working day in the case of Bank Holidays.

Collection Service

If you take medication on repeat prescription you may wish to take advantage of a free service offered by the local Pharmacies. They will offer to collect prescriptions from the Practice and have the medication ready for collection at their premises. If you wish to take advantage of this service please speak to your Pharmacy.
